All of our Ultimate Sleep Systems Air Beds have Optional, Matching, Real Wood Foundations. We Highly Recommend you purchase a Totally Flat and Firm surface for your New Ultimate Sleep System Air Mattress to lie on. The Matching Wood Foundation has a layer of Masonite over the slats and then the entire foundation is covered with Fabric, that will match your new Air Bed. The profile/height of the Matching Foundation is approximately 8 inches. All Queen and King, Matching, Real Wood Foundations are "Split" which means that there are 2 Half Foundations, which make it much easier to maneuver through tighter spaces. If you have a Good, existing, box spring or a Good, existing, water bed frame, you can use these. The choice is up to you! We do recommend however, that you give us a no obligation call, so that we can discuss what steps may be needed to optimize your existing base.
